Bertil Schulrabe is a versatile drummer and percussionist known for his refined and organic playing style, which has led him to collaborate with numerous renowned artists. Some of his notable collaborations include Oktoecho, Kleztory, Angèle Dubeau, Jean-Pierre Zanella, Karen Young, Nanette Workman, Amélie Veille, and Céline Dion, among others. He honed his craft by studying with percussion masters such as Clayton Cameron, Paul Brochu, and Horacio el Negro, as well as specializing in Indian tabla with Partha Sarathi Mukherjee in India. Bertil excels in a variety of musical styles, ranging from pop to funk, jazz, fusion, and folk traditions from around the world, including Africa, North Africa, India, Cuba, Brazil, Haiti, and Eastern Europe. His passion for percussion has led to a diverse career and a continuous pursuit of excellence. He has been collaborating with Oktoecho since 2012.
