Presentation
Buffalo Hat Singers are a group of Pow-wow Singers based in the Greater Montreal, consisting of Norman Achneepineskum, Normand Raymond, and Pedro Diaz. Their music is characterized by its profound reverence for tradition, as it comes together under the unifying forces of the Spirit of the Song, the Power of the Drum, Peace, Friendship, and Brotherhood. The Buffalo Hat Singers exhibit a deep-seated passion for their craft, which is evident in their unwavering commitment to disseminate elements of North American Indigenous Culture to a global audience through the mediums of song and dance. Over the course of several years, the Buffalo Hat Singers have actively participated in a diverse array of public and private gatherings. These encompass multicultural festivals, pow-wows, vigils, engagements at federal correctional institutions, and educational institutions spanning all levels, ranging from kindergarten to university and beyond. They have been collaborating with Oktoecho since 2016.
