Kathia Rock, a multidisciplinary artist, has been active in the performing arts for over 20 years. A winner and finalist of prestigious competitions, she has participated in festivals in Canada, India, and Europe. Her musical universe, deeply rooted in her Uashat Mak Mani-Utenam community, blends contemporary folk rock with the ancestral repertoire of the Innu people. With a powerful and transcendent voice, she composes melodies that resonate between tradition and modernity. Deeply committed to preserving and sharing her culture, Kathia Rock, a self-taught artist, continues to develop her skills to enrich her artistic practice. She is currently self-producing her first solo album, with the support of Samian from the NIKAMO production company. Beyond music, her career extends to theater and storytelling, where she incorporates narrative and theatrical elements to enhance her performances. An accomplished actress, she has performed in major works on stage (Hamlet le Malécite, La Tempête), on television (Trauma, Fatale Station), and in film (Mesnak, Maïna). A natural unifier, she excels at rallying talented collaborators to bring ambitious projects to life, combining art and cultural transmission. Since 2023, she has collaborated with Oktoecho.
