Presentation
Sandrine Masse, singer-songwriter and violist, has been making her mark for over 15 years by lending her voice and viola to diverse artistic projects. A graduate of the École nationale de la chanson, she won the Georges-Dor First Prize and Audience Choice award at the 2022 Chante en français contest. That same year, her debut EP, L’ours noir, launched her as a singer-songwriter in Quebec’s music landscape. After numerous appearances at festivals, competitions, and artist residencies, she released Là où la terre est (2024), an atmospheric folk album that celebrates her homeland. The project includes Wendat language for the first time in Tho ïohtih, a song that reached number 1 on the Attitude Franco chart (Sirius XM) in September 2024. Alongside her personal project, she shares her heritage through her multidisciplinary duo Les Coz des maïs and actively contributes to her community through cultural revitalization and mediation initiatives.
