Sierra Segalowitz
Inuit throat singing

Born in 2000 and raised in Montreal, Sierra Segalowitz is of Denesuline and Inuvialuit descent from the Northwest Territories. At the age of 12, she was introduced to Inuit throat singing by Nina Segalowitz, an accomplished Inuit throat singer, hand drummer and cellist. Sierra began singing professionally at the age of 16. In 2017 and 2020, she sang on the stage at Pride Montreal for the opening concerts. She has been collaborating with Oktoecho since 2021.
