Lebanese-born Ziad Chbat, a skilled nay player, studied music at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory. Since settling in Canada in 2008, he's been a member of Oktoecho, performing at prestigious events like the Arab World Festival. Ziad's musical influence extends to cinematic and documentary projects, enriching their soundscapes. Collaborating with the Canadian Arabic Orchestra and sharing the stage with renowned Middle Eastern vocalists, he leaves a lasting impact with soulful performances. Beyond the stage, Ziad passionately imparts his knowledge of the ancient oriental bamboo flute, the nay, ensuring its cultural legacy endures through dedicated teaching. He has been collaborating with Oktoecho since 2008.
